Description

L’Air du Temps in Paris at Antoinette Poisson: The 2021 novelty of Nina Ricci

This is the case with L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci . Conceived in 1948 and expressing the feeling of being able to finally come back to life after the war, it is considered one of the most outstanding juices of the last century. Today, Nina Ricci decides to put it back in the spotlight. Focus on L’Air du Temps in Paris at Antoinette Poisson.

The story of L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci

L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci is a fragrance that we owe to Francis Fabron. Floral and spicy, it put forward a short formula, barely thirty components, very floral and airy, a complete break with the often heady compositions of its time. Evocative of timelessness, it celebrated the joy of reliving freely after the war. True historical testimony, L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci was born in an atmosphere of change and innovation. It is the reflection of a Paris full of surprises. On the bottle side, it was presented in a crystal box signed Lalique, forming a yellow swirl and itself flown over by a stopper in the shape of two doves.

A new, brighter and creamier recipe

L’Air du Temps in Paris at Antoinette Poisson transforms its former composition and becomes more enveloping, creamy and radiant. To develop this new fragrance, Nina Ricci called on the perfumer Calice Becker. At first, the designer chose a fresh and dazzling flight, based on pink berries and yuzu, a small Japanese citron. Then, the heart of L’Air du Temps in Paris at Antoinette Poisson becomes more floral. He relies on a trio of tuberose, jasmine and ylang-ylang. Its round and generous heart is finally enveloped in a creamy sandalwood and more powerful musk.

The new bottle of L’Air du Temps in Paris at Antoinette Poisson

In addition to its intoxicating scent, L’Air du Temps in Paris at Antoinette Poisson will also seduce you with its innovative bottle, yet celebrating the French tradition. To design this bottle, Nina Ricci chose to work with the A Paris house at Antoinette Poisson. Founded in 2012, it brings to the fore a forgotten profession, dating from the 18th century: decoration with domino paper. At the time, it was a question of printing decorative papers using engraved blocks of wood. Once the paper was printed, it was highlighted by hand or stenciled and this is how color was added. For this edition, the A Paris house at Antoinette Poisson has chosen to decorate Nina Ricci’s bottle with a toile de Jouy pattern, drawing doves and flowers. Of course, it is a nod to the old bottle of L’Air du Temps. Its bucolic patterns are also elaborated in a color of yellow gold.
